This week I attended my FIRST Muse concert. It was a cinematic experience, a show of lights, music, and moving pictures(videos), combined for the ultimate enjoyment. If you are a Muse fan (like me), then you are probably familiar with their performances. Often, the stage becomes part of the performance and the music, becoming a unit. This is something I had only been able to experience by going on Youtube, but now I can tell you for sure that the live version is wonderful (and better than the videos on Youtube).
The whole stage lights up, literally.
Matt, Chris, and Dominic perform on a stage that also serves as a screen, lighting up beneath their feet during selected songs. The combination of music and the imagery made me experience the music, not just listen to it. This works great for the band as it allows them to move freely around the stage or change instruments with easiness.
It simply looked beautiful.
Muse is on tour for the release of their latest album, The 2nd Law. Here’s one of my favorite songs from the album.
